Añadir la opcion de hibernar al menu de apagado de Windows XP

Para poder añadir la opcion de hibernar debe asegurarse de que tiene marcada la casilla Habilitar hibernacion en: Mi PC -> Panel de Control -> Opciones de energia -> Hibernacion -> Habilitar Hibernacion.

Para permitir la aparición del botón de hibernacion en el menu de apagado de Windows, debe modificar el registro de Windows siguiendo estos pasos:

1. Haga clic en Inicio y en Ejecutar, escriba regedit y, a continuación, haga clic en Aceptar.
2. Busque y haga clic en la subclave siguiente de Registro: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows.
3. Haga clic en Windows con el boton derecho del raton, seleccione Nuevo y, a continuación, haga clic en Clave.
4. En la Nueva clave # 1, cambiele el nombre a System y, a continuación, presione ENTRAR.

To add the option to hibernate make sure you have the box marked Enable hibernation in: My Computer -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate -> Enable Hibernation

After you apply this hotfix, you must modify the Windows registry to enable the appearance of the Hibernate button. To cause the Hibernate button to appear when you click Turn Off Computer, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
3. Right-click Windows, point to New, and then click Key.
4. In the New Key #1 box, type System, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click System, point to New, and then click Key.
6. In the New Key #1 box, type Shutdown, and then press ENTER.
7. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
8. In the New Value # 1 box, type ShowHibernateButton, and then press ENTER.
9. Right-click ShowHibernateButton, and then click Modify.
10. In the Value data box, type 1, leave the default Hexadecimal option selected, and then click OK.
11. Quit Registry Editor.
